J Garrard & Allen have strengthened its already impressive private client department by welcoming Frederick Parkinson to the team.

Frederick is a senior solicitor who qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and holds a Masters' Degree in Elder Client and Coronial Law.

Frederick specialises in advising clients from all walks of life in relation to estate planning, reducing or limiting exposure with regard to the care fees regime, the administration of simple and complex estates, the drafting and managing of trusts, and managing mental health and capacity difficulties for elder clients.  Frederick also specialises in relation to the preparation of Wills, and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Frederick has also acquired a reputation for assisting in disputes during the administration of estates, whether by settling or mediating the same amicably among the parties, or by reducing the issues remaining in dispute to reduce the risk of wasted costs where at least some agreement has been reached.

Frederick joined J Garrard & Allen in September 2020, having relocated from Lancashire, and became a Partner in 2022.
